Current Fire Danger
As of June 22, 2010, the current fire
danger for the region is moderate.

Up-to-date fire information from the U.S.
Forest Service and NOAA can be found on our

Please be careful when burning, monitor
your fire at all times, have a charged hose ready and avoid any burning on
windy days.
Burn
restrictions have been lifted in Huerfano County.
As always, no burning of tires
or cars. Monitored campfires are allowed. If you are burning trash in a
barrel or generating noticeable amounts of smoke, please call the sheriff
dispatch at 738-1044 prior to burning. Burn permits can be requested through
Chief DeTray or Capt. Mark Brunner.
